I hope you all had a fabulous Labor Day weekend. I had five of my seven home which was fun/busy/exhausting. But as my oldest son pointed out, I’m always exhausted so I will just focus on the fun and busy part.
The end of summer always makes me sad. But at least we are in the middle of a stretch of glorious weather here in the Northeast. At some point we will be in a stretch of nonglorious weather but I’m going to do my best not to think about that right now.
I had been really hopeful that it was curtains for *CF/P Trump but like most villains, it seems like his demise will take a while. The White House is definitely covering up something- keeping the press far away from him. He does have a press conference scheduled for later today- I assume that right now they are frantically covering up his bruises with makeup. He has been looking totally crappy- honestly Biden is winning the aging wars right now. But everyone is so afraid of Trump that they are not reporting on it for fear that with his last breath, he will retaliate. Cowards.
People are already planning their celebrations for when he is actually gone. Parties, dancing shoes, champagne, etc. When Biden’s win was announced in 2020, NYC went CRAZY. New Yorkers who were outside honked their car horns and cheered, those in apartments went on their balconies and banged pots and pans. IT WAS GLORIOUS.
I’ve often thought how terribly wrong my life would’ve had to have gone if half the world were waiting for me to drop dead. I mean that’s gotta sting.
Meanwhile, Newsom continues to win the trolling wars, tweeting “Good night Grandpa” is response to Trump’s early “GOOD NIGHT” message a few days ago.
As Trump continues his decline, I worry that he will start a civil war. He will push someone too far- perhaps Pritzker. Or another governor who doesn’t want the National Guard taking over their city. Pritzker stated, “Any kind of troops on the streets of an American city don’t belong unless there is an insurrection, unless there is truly an emergency, and there’s not.”
Former general with the Illinois National Guard and Democratic Congressman from Illinois, retired Major General William Enyart stated yesterday that, “Every dollar that’s spent on sending the national guardsman to Washington, D.C. or Chicago or anywhere else for that matter, is a dollar that can’t be used to pay for guardsmen to be mobilized to take an overseas deployment or to provide recovery efforts for hurricanes or fight floods in the Midwest.” But taking care of Americans has never been the point.
Tell me again why we have money to fight fake crime and have the National Guard pick up garbage but we can’t feed hungry children or fund cancer research. Our priorities are beyond screwed up. Not yours or mine, but the country's.
Meanwhile, I did get a chuckle from Trump’s announcement that he was going to award Rudy Giuliani the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Although he said details as to time and place would follow, I feel it would be totally fitting to hold the ceremony at Four Seasons Landscaping, the same place Giuliani held a press conference in 2020 to pedal some bs about the election being “stolen.” They meant to book the Four Seasons Hotel in Philadelphia but in their typical Keystone Kops fashion, ended up outside the landscaping company, which is located next to a sex shop and crematorium. So fitting, right?
The former NY mayor was disbarred last year and lost a 148 million defamation judgment- two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss had sued him for false allegations he made about them after the 2020 election. According to CNN, in January, Giuliani “reached a settlement agreement with Freeman and Moss that allowed him to keep his home.” So he’s got that going for him. And now, although he has little money and is a complete disgrace, he will have the Medal of Freedom.
It's a shame that Charles Manson is no longer living because I’m guessing he too could get a medal from Trump.
Anyway, it was super disappointing to know that Trump is still kicking, but the way he’s been looking and acting, I think our patience will pay off. Although truth be told, I’m not all that patient.
Speaking of the Epstein Files, House members will hopefully take some action now that they are back in session. And a group of Epstein’s victims are planning to hold a rally on Capitol Hill Wednesday morning, separate from a scheduled press conference with some of the victims.
It's going to be an interesting fall. Just remember, we will get through it all together.
Off to tackle some laundry.

I guess today he’s going to tell us how healthy he is while someone props him up and others pull the strings to move his hands.
Our priorities are non existent; they are now what tRump wants. The vulgar lout (it) has us by the throat.....IF anyone has a way out, please post it. I was so hoping for a bolt of lightning on a golf course. But I'm an impatient person.......tired of waiting for him (it) to be gone b4 he destroys the world.
