I may bring extra snacks with me to sell!! I see a business opportunity here!

I enjoyed this little foray into the airlines opposed to politics, tremendously. Thanks for the added humor. I found flying the cheaper ticket airlines doesn't actually save you money. Not when you add on all the extras just to get yourself and your bags to your final destination. Especially if you want to enjoy a snack and a drink during your however long flight. And the trays on Frontier are 10"×6" to boot! No thank you. Well said, Marlene! SHARED 💓🇮🇱✡️💙🇺🇦

I agree this is outrageous! Maybe we the public need to protest and just stop flying for awhile. Full stop. Drive 🚘 or cruise 🚢. Airlines get your acts together!

I totally understand the need to trim expenses wherever possible because of fuel costs. BUT. I'm certain that the half can of soda/juice and tiny bag of cookies for each passenger is not what's breaking their budget.

I wish airlines would treat their passengers like humans again. Wouldn't that be nice?

delta (NO CAPS) has always been a crap-shit airline. Topped only by northworst.....So not surprising that this happened. They are of the kick em while their down school of thought.......Only one I liked is United , cause they go to the best places. TO THE WEST COAST.The only thing that can be done is: DON'T FLY DELTA! In this case money talks....the Kimmel kerfuffle proved that. DRIVE! TRAIN!! We are spoiled & now they have us by the short & curlys (they think), STAND UP FOR YOUR SELF.. SHOW THEM WHATS WHAT.

Sooo, if we have to provide our own snacks are we also to provide our own drink (s)? 😉

I recently discovered Alaska Air first class for flights from the OC to Portland, Oregon. It's a 2 hour 30 minute flight, but I get free (included) checked bag, priority boarding, a comfy seat, snack, and champagne! Totally worth it, plus I use credit card points to help pay for it.

Also Business class on the Surfliner to Santa Barbara or SLO. Snack box included, and a conductor to help with luggage, etc. Beats driving!!

I refuse to fly unless it's an absolute emergency. I once loved flying - my first flight was in 1976, to Bermuda. People didn't "dress up" to fly, but they weren't wearing pajamas, torn jeans, and flip flops, either. The seats were reasonably wide and we had a decent amount of leg room. I'm sure they fed us on that flight, but I don't remember. And, yeah, considering everything airlines have done to make flying darn near unbearable, taking away those little snack bags and half a can of soda is simply an insult on top of injury.
