Maybe Trump Should Be Sentenced To Community Service
But What Is He Actually Qualified To Do?
As you probably know, the judge presiding over Trump’s hush money case refused to overturn the verdict. He remains a convicted felon.
But the judge also indicated that Trump would not get jail time when he is sentenced this week. Trump’s spokesperson Steven Cheung argued that “President Trump must be allowed to continue the Presidential Transition process… There should be no sentencing.”
Yes, we all recall how much Trump believes in a smooth transition process. In case anyone has forgotten what happened four years ago today, Trump incited a riot that resulted in the injury and deaths of police officers, destroyed government property, almost got his VP killed, and put a permanent stain on our election process. He can call January 6th a “day of love” all he wants, but he can’t change what really happened.
I was thinking that Trump should at least be sentenced to community service for his crime. But what type of community service could the convicted felon actually do?
