I remember seeing Mary Poppins when it was in theaters, loved every minute! Of course I was about 10 years old, so it was totally appropriate. The music and dancing was so entertaining. Even Dick VanDyke's phony accent was pure magic. He is definitely a national treasure.

I like to think I'm not the only one who sang that line ..... Yes, Dick Van Dyke is a national treasure! I still watch The Dick Van Dyke Show every Sunday evening from 11 pm to midnight. Last night they aired their Christmas special from 1963 (I think that was the year.) It's a lovely little episode!
He is a gem!! One of my favorites. I love the original Mary Poppins and loved his cameo in Mary Poppins Returns with Lin Manuel Miranda and Emily Blunt.
